Four Seasons in an Afternoon

Updated: May 11, 2022

I've always loved Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and recently enjoyed an outdoor concert where it was performed by Angel Strings quartet.

I loved it so much I decided to bring it all to you, here in our beautiful Scenic Rim.

Don't forget to bring warm layers as the afternoons cool off quickly and this is an outdoor event on the oval at The Old Laravale School.

It's all about the MUSIC

The first half of the afternoon features a JAZZ session including Fly Me To The Moon, and The Entertainer (because it's fun).

The second half will be a CLASSICAL session including Bolero (remember Torvill & Dean's mesmerising 1984 Olympic skating performance?) and culminating with my favourite piece, Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

What about the FOOD?

Your ticket includes a delicious picnic box for one, expertly put together by Bec at That Platter Company.

Enjoy Scenic Rim cheese paired with crackers and dip, cured meats, homemade quiche and a sweet treat.

And for drinks?

David McMaugh will be serving his range of wines and port from Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard located just outside Boonah.

Tastings will be available prior to your purchase.

Glass $5

Bottle to share $25

Cash/EFTPOS available

And after the SHOW?

Following the conclusion of the musical afternoon, you are welcome to stay and view the night sky through telescopes courtesy of Scenic Rim Astronomy.

This is an outdoor event so make sure you bring warm layers as the afternoon and evening will cool off quickly.

WHEN?

Saturday July 9 from 2.30pm
